About me

Nithin Jacob Eapen born in India, moving from town to town has quite  essentially inevitable his childhood. This gave him a plethora of experience dealing with people and understanding behavioural aspects while interacting. Design is a factor which has subsequently followed him even after decapitating it while doing his degree in commerce, in 2007. Being good at drawing wasn’t the only motivational factor that drove him to creative endurance, the impulse to quite potentially manifest something to contribute better living and be a part of a change in people’s lives has always motivated him to this day. 

He has graduated from National Institute of Fashion Technology(NIFT), Bangalore, India in 2012 after which he indulged in work on the material based industry for four and a half years till 2016. He was the co-founder of a brand that upcycle products to better standards about an year till 2016. His Master degree in Industrial Design from Scuola Politecnica Di Design(SPD) 2017 has open new opportunities working with professionally acclaimed designers. The initiative from SPD, essential and designer Matteo Rani exhibited his product in Milan design week 2017.  

He is a designer by heart and eye for technical details better prospects in mind welcomes new areas to learn. Curiosity have pushed him to have hands-on experience with a variety of materials and to know how materials work, from clay, wood, metal to plastic(injection, blow moulding). Passionate to do innovation is bring him to develop new product understanding, by observing and solving the smallest inconveniences among the people. He want to learn more and like to be part of in depth experience in trying new ventures in design and development with a human-centered/ user experience design.

    • A good degree of technical knowledge balanced with creative ability and a hands-on approach for development.
    • Visual and spatial awareness and decision making ability
    • Commercial awareness with client and market understanding
    • Computer literacy including three-dimensional conceptual ability, Illustration and CAD drawing
    • Knowledge of industrial design processes, techniques and standards
    • Communication and customer service skills
    • User experience and human centered design
    • The ability to cope with the pressure of deadlines
    • A willingness to build and maintain positive working relationships and to share information with others
    • Determination to achieve an end result, and optimism and enthusiasm when things don’t go to plan
    • The flexibility to travel abroad for work – this may be required if you work for a multinational manufacturer
    • Foreign language ability – could be desirable when working for an international firm.
